Symbolic Dog Tags
A central feature of the memorial will be a series of large, symbolic dog tags displaying each veteran’s name, branch of service, and years of service. In addition, each honored veteran and their family will have the opportunity to create an online tribute page where they can share photos, videos, and written stories about their service. Signage with QR codes placed throughout the memorial will allow visitors to easily access these digital pages from anywhere. You can purchase a dog tag to honor any veteran, living or deceased, at any time of service. Veterans from Bloomington and beyond are welcome to be recognized.
Each dog tag is $350 and includes:
- Listing of name, military branch, years of service, and special recognition
- An online personalized page to share the veteran’s story through photos, video and more. View a sample veteran tribute page.
Eligibility for inclusion
Any veteran with record of service in the US Armed Forces who has had past or current connection to Bloomington will be considered eligible for inclusion in the memorial.
